Third Transnational Project Meeting

Representatives of project partner organizations came together in Evora/Portugal for the Third Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) to evaluate the issues and organise the activities related to the SOCIALCapital project. University of Evora hosted the Third TPM, made all practical arrangements and provided all needed information to the participants for travelling and accomodation in Evora

The meeting was held on the campus of University of Evora. Three main topics of this meeting are as follows:

  • Review of the actions from previous meeting
  • Presentation and Evaluation of the draft E-Learning Modules
  • Preparatory work for Short Term Learning/Training/Teaching (LTT) Activity to be organized at Madrid in June

In the first day, the meeting began with the welcome speech of Project experts M. R. Mendez and D. Noll from Evora University.

After completion their presentation, Project coordinator gave information about the current status of the Project, the Project activities which were fulfilled so far and also activities planned for the future. She informed the Project partners on the financial issues, administrative and dissemination issues, updated timetable and answered their questions related with the planned activities and project intellectual outputs.

In the first session, T. OEDL-Wieser and G. Wiesinger from BAB made a comprehensive presentation about the draft E-Learning Modules that they have prepared and their framework and contents. Participants exchanged their views related to this output.and its content.

In the second session, training program planning studies have been made on who will be responsible for which subjects for the short-term training activity to be held in June for trainers working in the MoNE of Turkey. We were divided into groups and made a detailed analysis of who will undertake which subject and what the training content will be related to the subject they undertake.

At the end of the session, opinions were exchanged on the administrative and financial issues of the Project and the date for next meetig was determined. The participants received certificates of attendance and the meeting ended at 17 30 pm.

In the second day, a technical trip was organised by UEVORA to Alentejo Region where both two pilot case studies of our Project have been carrying out by Portugal partner.

First the Project team visited the Adega Cooperativa de Borba which is one of the pilot cases of Portugal partner. The directors and also employees of the enterprise informed us about the Wine of Alentejo Sustainability Program, their success story, production stages, the problems they have encountered, how to build social capital, etc.

Then the team headed to the town of Montemor-o-Novo where the Minga cooperative is located. The Head of Cooperative gave information about how they started the cooperative and developed it and the challenges they have met and how they overcome them.

Both visits were highly productive and informative with regard to the topic of the building and developing social capital.
